WheelGuider was developed because of the frustrations and safety concerns that Tom (the inventor) had over many years of fighting with rotating tires on his ¾ ton pickup. The wheels were heavy, hard to align, and it was a very dirty job. Safety was another concern. To be able to lift and maneuver the heavy tires into place, Tom would have to sit with his legs underneath his truck. He would then roll the tire on top of his legs to help lift the tire and align it with the hub.
One evening, Tom was speaking with his dad and told him about an idea he had over eight years ago that he wanted to bring to life. He began experimenting with different prototypes until one worked, and he could see his vision for WheelGuider coming to life.
Tom's main concerns were to make a product that could be easily stored in any vehicle and one that was easy to use for drivers that were unable to lift a big tire and wheel. This along with safety to the user makes the WheelGuider a useful product for anyone with a vehicle, and makes changing tires safer and easier during emergencies and everyday use!
